In our fast-paced world of email, e-cards and mobile devices, most of us are spending less time with paper and more time with our computers. This is good because it's better for the environment, makes it easier to share and retrieve information, and helps us find resources that can expand our knowledge. But it adds to the challenge of networking and forming quality connections with colleagues.
Just as I believe in the power of attending live, in-person small business conferences, I also believe that a handwritten note can go a long way in building relationships. One of the best (and easiest) ways to do this is by showing appreciation through a personal thank you note.
