Testing, Testing...1,2,3

Friday July 20, 2007
Will customers buy your new product or service? Instead of taking a guess and spending your marketing budget, use test markets to determine your offers acceptance by consumers. There's an old saying "“If it plays in Peoria, it will play anywhere." This line refers to the days of Broadway productions. Shows were ready for Broadway if they tested well in Peoria, Illinois. The top ten places to test today, according to Acxiom Corporation (see the list for best and worst 200 test markets) are:

1 Birmingham AL

2 Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point NC

3 Newburgh NY-PA

4 Savannah GA

5 Memphis TN-AR-MS

6 Salem OR

7 Jackson MS

8 Rochester NY

9 Grand Rapids-Muskegon-Holland MI

10 Wichita KS
