conversation bubblesThere is a lot of talk this week about the changes coming to Facebook. Although these changes are focused on personal profiles, there will likely be a trickle-down effect for business users, so it's good to stay in the loop.

The thing is, every time Facebook and other social sites change up their functionality, small business owners who have been on the fence about creating accounts and diving into social media fall off on the side of inaction. I will agree that changes can make the process more uncertain and confusing, but continuing to wait isn't going to help you advance your business either.

If you're not marketing your business on social sites yet, forget about the new things happening for now, pick one network and just take the plunge. Think baby steps, and you'll be on your way to enriching your marketing mix.
