Your small business doesn't need the deep pockets of Bill Gates to give to a worthy cause. More and more businesses are reaping the joys of giving to a worthwhile cause and standing for something more than profits. California's Newman’s Own Organics launched a pet food line with proceeds going to 10 pet charities. Cause-related marketing is an activity in which businesses join with charities or causes to market an image, product, or service for mutual benefit. It's a way to merge your profit center with your "passion center" and build a business that mirrors your personal values, beliefs, and integrity.
