Small Business Lesson from the Apprentice 2: Cause-Related Marketing
Friday September 17, 2004
Thursday's episode of "The Apprentice 2" brought the teams together to build a new brand of ice cream. It's name? Trump ice cream, of course. Each team had to choose the flavors, then go out and sell as much as they could. Team Apex led by Ivana, developed a butter cake cream cheese and pecans flavor called Red Velvet. Mosaic team created a donut flavor ice cream. As the day went on Mosaic's phone sales blitz was a no hit so the team elected to tie into a good cause and give some profits to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The two teams took to the streets with their ice cream carts. In the end, Mosaic came out the winner and avoided the boardroom.
