Thursday June 3, 2004
The Stevie Awards has been called "the business world's own Oscar Awards" according to the New York Post. It represents an opportunity to gain publicity and recognition for a job well done. This year marks the introduction of the "2004 Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs." All American-based women-owned businesses with less than 100 employees can enter the contest. The awards spans over 18 categories ranging from Company Website of the Year to Best Entrepreneur.
Women-owned small businesses continue to be the shining light in the current market. According to the Center for Women's Business Research, female entrepreneurs generate $2.3 trillion to the American economy and employ more than 18 million people. This year I have the honor to be on the Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors. Take the time to enter before the June 30th deadline.
